Reilly wasn't one to go for walks around the grounds, but today was a special day. Today she just wanted to get out of the common room, and the thought of going to the library was just revolting right now. She had been there enough over the past few weeks. Reilly just needed time to breathe. She walked out of the castle in her jeans and a hoodie, she often got teased by her sisters, and parents for wearing 'muggle clothes', but she didn't care - sometimes they were just more comfortable than wizards robes. Her long dark hair was pulled back today, or else the wind would blow it around everywhere, and Reilly really hated getting hair in her mouth as she walked.
She decided that today she would go and sit by the lake. She liked watching the water, there was just something calming about it, and lately with all the craziness of studying she had been doing, well she needed to calm down. Rye walked down to the lake and stopped a couple of feet away from the shore. She felt the grass before sitting down, nothing was worse than a wet bottom. It was fairly dry so Reilly plopped herself down and watched as the tiny waves rolled onto the shore of the lake. She sat there for a long time by herself, letting the waves pull her in, getting lost in the sound of the water, the wind and the buzz of students behind her. She was in such a daze she didn't even notice as someone approached her from behind.
